Halloween

It seemed like we were celebrating Halloween a few weeks before the actual date!  We had a Halloween themed birthday party, Halloween Preschool Carnival, preschool Halloween parade during the day with Emma's class, stroller strides little party, and then finally Halloween trick-or-treating!  Emma wore her Arial costume that she wore on her birthday and then she was Doc McEmma on Halloween.

For Halloween, we had our friends Chad and Randi over and of course Jenn, Brian, and the kids.  I made a big batch of chili, some pumpkin cupcakes, and a few snacks.  Jenn, Randy, and I took the kids trick-or-treating while Brian and Chad handed out candy.  Tony missed everything picking up his Brian and Sarah at the airport.  I just felt bad that he missed Sophie stealing the show:-(!

Emma loved the trick-or-treating part and had no problems marching from house to house but she wasn't about to talk to ANYONE or say "trick-or-treat." Sophie was just a little ham and was such a big girl.  She walked straight up to each house and opened her little bag and put her candy right in.  Then when she walked away she would wave and say "bye-bye" until she pretty much got to the next house.  I am still kicking myself for not running back and getting my phone so I could have videotaped it!!  It was really the cutest thing ever!!

Tony, of course, carved this pumpkin in no time!
