Paradise Cove to Show Daddy

Yesterday we were invited to a little get together at the house of a nice couple that works for Tony's company but on a different job on the island.  They have an INCREDIBLE place that they rent.  I've been hearing about this house and I've been dying to get invited to one of their parties, ha!  I should have taken more pics but I only had my cell phone.  Here are a few pics that were taken...

I had to include this picture because on the left is the slide that goes into the pool!!

Today, we went back to Paradise Cove to see the turtles because Tony hadn't been there yet.  Tony went scuba diving this morning and met up with us later.  Hopefully, I will have pics from scuba diving on my next post!  This was the girls' second time here and Emma was acting like she was all brave around the turtles, ha!!
Emma was trying to show the turtle her rocks - not very interested:-)!!

I don't think Emma realized how close the turtle was getting!

Sophie made friends and then stole their chair - so typical!!
I'm so proud of myself for posting on the same day we actually did something, haha!!  We have a lot going on this week so I wanted to try and stay on top of blogging.  Tomorrow we are heading back to Ko Olina with stroller strides but I plan on making it a short trip!  The girls need to get rested up for Grandma and Papa Choate's arrival on Wednesday!!  I am so, so excited to have the company but also the help.  I hope they don't have a lot of plans because this mama needs a break, hee hee!!  Looking forward to lots of posts with the girls having fun with Grandma and Papa!!

Sophie - 16 Months

Miss Sophie is just a fun, fun little girl!!  I feel like I talk about Emma so much because she is ALWAYS into or up-to something!!  So this is just about Sophie!!
Sophie and her signature tongue out!

Sophie was 16 months on the 27th.  Since moving to Hawaii she has also become a blanket girl like her big sister!  She is so social and thrives on getting attention from strangers - especially men.  She is always waving, smiling or sticking out her tongue!!  Sophie, like her sister, is very independent and likes to roam or find new friends!!  I really can't turn my head for a second.  She very rarely fusses or cries and if she does I know Emma is involved somehow!  Someone up high knew I needed a mellow, well-behaved kid after Emma - but I guess she is still little and a lot can change!!
Sophie with her new friends - she totally would have gone home with them!
Thankfully, Sophie and Emma do play a lot together pretty well until they fight over a toy.  It usually involves Emma's bitty baby - I just need to buy poor Sophie one too.  I am learning that I just have to buy 2 of everything because Sophie wants everything Emma has and vice versa!
Sophie has also started talking so much in the last few weeks.  She is starting to really try and say any word I ask her to say but won't say if I don't initiate it.  Just this morning I got her to say mama, dada, ball, sissy, turtle, baby, papa, nene, airplane, and apple.  I know she says a bunch more but I can't think, ha!  Here is a video from this morning of my happy, happy girl talking!  I know this isn't a big deal for most but for me this is so exciting because Emma said barely anything at this age.

I also just had to include a picture of Sophie legs - they are just my favorite!  I love that she still has rolls and little tan lines between the rolls!  I love this little girl!!

Lots to Share:-)!!

Oh gosh, I have so many pictures to share I don't even know where to begin.  I finally got a bunch of pics from my "mamarozzi" friend Jenn.  I'm embarrassed to say that they go back as far as Easter!  Instead of posting a bunch of different posts, I'm just going to make this a long "catch-up" post!  Let's just hope the girls decide to cooperate:-)!  Here we go...

Easter 2012 at the Beach and Easter Egg Hunt

These are Jenn's niece and nephew - they learn how to surf young here!!

The kids spent a majority of Easter under the food table??

This is as close as my girls will get to surfing, haha!

This is totally Emma

Emma checking out the Easter Bunny - not liking what she sees!!

Emma putting a necklace on AJ:-)!

We went to our first "local/Hawaiian" birthday party and had such a blast!!  The party was for the owner of stroller strides' 2 girls.  In Hawaii, the first birthday is a big deal and families go "all out" - sometimes spending more than a wedding, which is easy to do in Hawaii:-)!  The waves were too big on this day so most of the children stayed on the grass and Sophie decided to just play in all of the mud!!

Of course, I'm at KoOlina like once a week so here are some pictures from the last few weeks.  At KoOlina, they have 4 lagoons with limited public parking so we try to go early during the week to get a parking spot!  I usually go to Lagoon 4 with the most parking or Lagoon 1 where Disney is located but I have discovered that Lagoon 3 is probably my favorite!  It has a nice bar that anyone can walk up to at the Marriott - even though Mai Tai's are $12 a piece, wow!!
On Wednesday, I went to Ko Olina with some stroller strides gals and finally did paradise cove lagoon where you can swim with the turtles!!  The girls had so much fun!!  I will have to go back again and get better pics with the girls and the turtles - thank goodness we have a year here!!

Emma and Allie with there monkeys - love this picture!!
Okay, this picture deserves some explaining.  Sophie has turned into a little social girl.  She loves going up to other families and just making herself right at home with their things - chair, drinks, food, towels, toys...etc.  Well, on Sunday Sophie found a nice Japanese family that spoke very limited English.  They were so, so nice and they loved Sophie!!  We were dying because Japanese tourists love taking Sophie's picture everywhere we go.  I have no idea why but I almost died when they got out there camera and started taking pics with Sophie!!  Jenn, of course, grabbed her camera and got this shot!!

Life is so awful for Miss Emma!!

Welcome to my life - Emma wanting what anyone else has!  Poor Allie!!

After a day at Paradise Cove with the turtles!!  My 2 kids were asleep before we even left the parking lot!
This is what we do when we feel like being lazy moms - water fun in the backyard!!
