Lani Kai and Whale Watch Cruise

Lani Kai Beach is a beautiful beach on the east coast of Hawaii.  From what I've been told, it is best to go during the week because you won't find parking otherwise.  The sand is so fine and soft and the scenery is just breathtaking if you ask me!  I wish I had taken a picture of where we parked because you just have to park on the side of the road - no parking lots here.   We went the other weekend with our friends Jenn and Brian and their 2 kids.  We didn't exactly get there as early as planned but it worked out because it was a bit cool and very cloudy - well it did stop these haoles (what the locals here in Hawaii call us white people, ha).  My friend Jenn, aka mommarzzi, took some great pics!

Sophie and I enjoying a little stroll on the beach

Sophie having some fun in the sand!
Emma having a little fun too!
I seriously couldn't resist any of these pictures with Emma's pants falling down - plus look at that blue water!

Allie and Emma running around - Emma has a ways to catch up with Allie's tan!!

This is really one of my all time favorite Emma pics!
I love that I have chubby babies - i love those thighs!!
 Hmmm...sand isn't so good!

Allie and her daddy, Brian, and of course Tony and Emma - ADORABLE!!

On Sunday, we took a whale watching cruise with our friends Jenn and Brian.  Jenn's parents, who live on the island, watched their kids and Jenn's sister, Alison, watched my 2 (plus her 4, wow she is way more brave than me!).  We started off by having a few drinks before our 11:15 boarding and those bloody mary's  were just wonderful!!  We boarded the boat and Jenn and I immediately had a lava flow (my new favorite Hawaiian drink).  Our trip started off so great until Jenn got horribly seasick!!  There was a wind advisory out and the water was pretty rough - didn't really bother me but many people were getting sick!  Well, the captain spotted about 3 or 4 whales but I only really saw 1.  The water was so rough that it was hard to spot the whales and their blows.  The one whale we saw, Tony got a few shots.  We probably would have had more pics but our photographer, Jenn, was a bit under the weather!  Regardless, Tony and I had a great afternoon.  The humpback whales only come to Hawaii to breed from January though April, I think ??, so we really wanted to make sure we got to see it.

OMG, this picture makes me laugh so hard - There's Something About Mary??

Waikiki Beach, I think?

Jenn, not feeling so hot and I think Brian taking a snooze!!

First and only sighting...

I was really excited Tony got the tail!
